For a first time in our history of camps, we had to cut camp short.

There were many earthquakes, so parents panicked and demanded we send the kids back. Still, we could see God’s goodness. Beginning with the first day and the first quiet time with the helpers, a number of children professed to have received Jesus as their Saviour. The second, and the third day the same. There was joy on their faces. They shared their joy within their groups, and we could tell them that there was joy in heaven, too. We started saying that we experienced earthquakes of joy in the quiet time groups.
It was a joy for us to have a helper in the teen camp who received Christ when she was 11 in a children’s camp 15 years ago. She is very involved in teen ministry in her area.
