This will be fourth year in a row that we encourage the churches to be part of the project to reach as many children as possible with the Goоd news of Christmas.
It is encouraging to see how the churches and individuals accepted the project for the past few years. The first year we had 600+ children reached, the second over 800, the third nearly 1000 and last year over 1100. The number of people trained also increased dramatically. The total number of functional churches in the country is around 30. Therefore the project is a great encouragement to the churches.
It encourages the churches to reach to those outside. It involves people that otherwise will not be doing evangelism. The fact that CEF provides all practical help free of charge (training, material for each individual willing to use it) also helps CEF to become even more visible, and helps efforts to reach as many children with and through local church, with the vision of starting new regular clubs and minsitries for children.

The meeting happened in late December. We printed invitations and invited the children living in our neighborhood – in the apartment building where CEF office is, as well as in the apartment building where we live. Most of the children came with their mothers. There were 16 children present. The children listened to the Christmas lesson with open mouths. The class lasted 1.5 hours with songs, games, memory verse and the lesson. We intentionally left the crafts for the next meeting – we wanted the lesson to be a bridge to a new GNC. On January 5 we had our meeting. Mario was a child that came the first day, and at the meeting he came with his friend Ivan, plus Ivan’s sister. Everyone enjoyed working on the crafts. Then Suzana presented a lesson, from the Beginnings. When she explained how the sin came into the world, the children wanted to know more. She went on longer than planned, there was a discussion, and Mario said that he has accepted Jesus as Savior. Great joy!

Gordana (Grandmother): After she took the training as how to have Christmas club, the very next day she gathered her nephews and nieces, together with their friends, and presented the lesson to them. She was so motivated that the next day she had another group of children, and presented the lesson again. She already called us this year to ask about “new” material.
