This region of the country, especially the city of Turkestan, is the most conservative in terms of Islam in the country. In Turkestan, you can witness scenes that you would never see in other cities. For example, the sounds of namaz (prayer) can be heard five times a day from their mosques. They do not have transportation. Although recently in the area, they have Good News Clubs, evangelistic events, summer camps. At each event many children are hearing the Gospel for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>There are currently NO active churches in the city of Turkestan itself.<\/p>\n<p>The Turkestan region is a large area where many villages are located far from each other. With transport, we will be flexible enough to <i><strong>expand our ministry in the region.<\/strong><\/i> By maintaining contact with home groups, we can go out and focus on neighbouring towns and villages. The vehicle will enable us to regularly visit villages where there is no public transport or where it runs very infrequently. We will be able to reach more children, especially in remote and inaccessible areas.<\/p>\n<p>Olga is in Central Kazakhstan which has large distances between settlements. Having a ministry car will let us handle daily and organisational tasks quickly and save on taxi costs.
